Kyle Varga is a 5-6, 145 lb senior left handed pitcher from Canada with a short and slender body. He throws from a high 3/4's release point with a large arm swing in back and a stiff landing leg in front. His fastball topped out at 71 mph. Varga's best pitch and the one he had the most confidence in was a mid 60's change up that had good run away from right handed hitters. Varga also threw a big looping 57 mph curveball that further kept hitters off balance. Varga knows his stuff and knows how to pitch a bit. He kept the ball away from the middle of the plate and at below hitting speed and was able to get outs effectively.
