Corey Criblear is a 2017 RHP/OF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Birdsboro, PA who attends Daniel Boone Area. Medium frame with a solid, athletic build. On the mound shows solid lower half that creates on line drive to the plate. Deeper stab at separation with a long arm action from a three quarters arm slot. Deceptive arm action and hides the baseball well from hitters. Solid command of fastball to both edges that shows heavy sink with slight cutting action. Good feel for change-up with tumbling actions. Slider has sharp spin with some tilt while curve has quality depth with slightly less spin. Consistently throws strikes with all pitches. Each pitch has solid movement and change of speeds in and out of the zone. Shows a good knowledge of pitching. Right handed hitter with a quick foot up, foot down trigger. Strides to a slightly closed position with a middle to opposite field approach. Hands launch on an extended path to contact with a level, line drive swing plane. Balanced throughout swing with a smooth stroke through contact. Also worked out defensively from the outfield showing developing lower half actions whlie closing on baseball. Full arm action back and crow hops into a taller throwing position. Extended arm action with a slightly uphill release topping at 79 mph from the outfield. Shows best on line carry with accuracy when staying on top of throws. Tendency to have later glove actions to baseball while fielding out front. Shows smooth glove work when down on time. Tools will continue to develop with physical maturity.
