2006 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase
Maxx Catapano is a 2007 RHP/SS with a 6'3'', 195 lb. frame from Fairfield, CT who attends Warde HS. Maxx has a tall athletic build that projects well for a pitcher. At the plate Maxx has a little different approach but shows nice bat extenion and really drove the ball well. His ability to drive the ball at the plate is a testament to his overall athleticism. On the mound Maxx throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a short lively arm action. Maxx has good action on a change-up and stays on top of his breaking pitches well. He is able to throw strikes with three pitches and if anything could tone his delivery down a little bit. Maxx is a player that will be a highest-level college prospect in the next year.
