Chaz Bertolani is a 2018 C/MIF with a 5-7 155 lb. frame from Alpharetta, GA who attends Johns Creek HS. The nationally ranked player has a compact frame with room to add strength as he matures. Behind the plate he displayed good receiving skills, explodes out of crouch, gains ground with balance and athleticism, quick transition and accurate to the bag. On the infield he showed really impressive actions, good fielding position while working through the ball, quick transfer and strong arm. At the plate he starts narrow and open with hands above the shoulder and active barrel for rhythm. Starts the swing with a high leg lift that leads to stride separation synced with barrel tip, works up to the ball with bat speed, drove balls deep to the outfield displaying good strength for size. Great Student. Named to Top Prospect List.
