2015 Northeast Underclass Showcase
Andrew Cossetti is a 2018 C/3B with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Eagleville, PA who attends LaSalle. Large, well-built frame with strength and athleticism throughout to go along with quality physical projection remaining. Hits with big leg kick trigger and synchronized barrel tip, shows very good, very advanced bat speed with big time strength off the barrel. Very strong wrists and forearms, shows good natural loft in swing and has excellent power overall. Very good offensive prospect in both hitting and power ability. Worked out well behind the plate during defensive drills. Showed very strong arm from the catcher position, popping a 1.89 and throwing 78 MPH from behind the plate. Receives well with soft hands attached to strong wrists. Will stand up a bit when throwing down to 2B instead of exploding forward out of crouch, but overall defensive tools are very good and highly projectable. Ran well, posting a 7.18 second 60 yard dash time. Named to 2015 Northeast Underclass Showcase Top Prospect List. Outstanding student.
