2004 Underclass National Showcase
Brandon Self -- Self is a junior catcher from Louisiana with good strength in his hands and upper body. He hits from a tall no load stance and gets out on his front foot very early. Self showed some loft power during batting practice and made consistent contact during games. He’ll be able to use his natural power and loft better by staying back behind the ball. He does a nice job behind the plate, but needs to increase his arm strength a little. Brandon is a good student.
