Isaac Bouton is a 2019 SS/RHP/C with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Fellowship Christian High School. Medium build and frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.22 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, showed softer hands through workouts with longer actions and impressive arm strength up to 87 mph. Also worked out from the outfield, showed similar arm strength and comes through it well with good momentum. At the plate, started with an upright stance, slightly open base, low hand set tight to body, and a simple leg lift timing mechanism. Shifted well into point of contact with a short, line drive swing. Executed and repeated well with very impressive balance for age. Well engaged lower half with an up the middle approach. Also pitched, started from the third base side of the rubber, drop and drive element, longer arm action, big arm circle, and threw from an extended three quarter arm slot. Fastball showed short arm side life at 81-82 mph with good balance. Some effort at release with a closed landing down the mound. Stayed tall through backside with a quick arm and will continue to add with age. Slider showed 10/4 shape at 71 mph and looked to throw it inside to left handed hitters. Exceptional student. Named to the Top Prospect List.
