Alec Mills is a 2018 OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Edwardsville, IL who attends Edwardsville HS. Medium-large frame with lean, athletic and well-proportioned build. Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball and is aggressive, instinctive. Could stay lower through ball a bit, works to a 3/4's arm slot and flashes some arm strength, measured up to 78 mph in defensive drills. Also pitched at this event, showed similar arm strength off of the mound. Short arm circle to a 3/4's arm slot, fastball up to 78 mph, shows some darting action the armside. Showed ability to fill up the strike zone, also has a nice pitcher's frame, could profile there in the future. Offensively, starts with high back elbow. Hand drop trigger, fluid swing with uphill plane, dips backside. Has some bat speed and strength, shows ability to handle the barrel with inside hand path, could stand to level swing-plane slightly to tighten up swing. Very good student.
