Daniel Swatek is a 2019 RHP/3B, OF with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Hoover, AL who attends Hoover HS. Recorded a 7.3 second 60-yard dash time. Medium build with broad shoulders and well-proportioned present strength. Primary righthanded pitcher with a longer arm stroke and the ball comes out cleanly. Ran his fastball up to 86 mph and works both sides of the plate. Fastball showed short life and sink when located low in the strike zone. Solid slider with tight spin and can locate for strikes. Secondary third baseman with fluid and deliberate actions. Arm strength plays well from the position, including in the outfield, and can move well from side to side. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set and high back elbow. Inverted toe tap into the stride with a downhill swing plane. Longer swing but flashes some pop and impact strength to pull. Good student.
