Lyon Richardson is a 2018 RHP/OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Jensen Beach, FL who attends Jensen Beach HS. Athletic build with some present strength and more to come. Compact arm stroke from an uup tempo delivery, high 3/4's arm slot that creates angle, some energy at release. Primary fastball pitcher this outing, finds the bottom of the zone with his fastball and misses bats, mostly straight but the angle makes it plus up. Curveball was very deep with big vertical life and was well landed in the strike zone when he threw it. Rare change up had arm side running action. Switch-hitter, much better at present right handed, gets out to his front side and makes hard line drive contact, easy repeatable swing, loud barrel. Very good athlete who has a higher ceiling on the mound and has the potential to take a big step forward in the near future. Verbal commitment to Florida.
