Brandon Lawrence is a 2019 SS/2B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Santa Ynez, CA who attends Dunn HS. Medium frame with an athletic build and wiry strength. Frame projects to support additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 6.98 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with smooth, athletic actions while ranging for and surrounding the baseball. Fluid glove actions while funneling and working through exchange. Primarily released from a low three-quarters arm slot but showed the ability to throw with accuracy from multiple arm slot, topped at 82 miles per hour. Switch hitter with an upright, balanced stance and simple leg lift trigger. Works to contact with linear lower half actions. Swung with intent on a naturally lifted barrel plane. Extension through the baseball well and looked to drive the baseball with authority to the gaps. Created loud, hard contact with good carry when on time and squared from each side of the plate. Excellent student. Committed to the University of Michigan.
