Alonzo Richardson is a 2020 SS/RHP with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Spring Valley, CA who attends Helix. Slender young build with lots of room to get stronger. 6.60 runner, has twitchy athleticism on defense in the middle infield, hands play well with a clean funnel out front, pretty smooth through the ball, good arm strength with carry. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide bent knee stance and a wrapped barrel start, loose and easy tension free swing, gets good separation and hits the ball out front, good swing to build from with additional future strength. Also pitched, compact arm action with a high and tight slot, quick arm coming through. Steady 89-90 mph fastball, mostly straight. Curveball was his best pitch with high spin rates and tight downer bite, tended to drop his slot on his change up. Nice young athlete who should continue to improve in all areas.
