Andy Leon is a 2021 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Richmond, TX who attends Strake Jesuit College Prep. Medium to large athletic build with room to still fill out as he continues to develop, posted a 7.19 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary infielder, shows very clean glove mechanics with good fluidity to and through the baseball. Makes good first step reads off the bat and throws are strong and accurate across the diamond. On the mound, has a short arm action from a high three-quarters slot. Conventional motion with repeatable mechanics. High hands separate high as he lifts, 78-83 mph fastball with an 11-to-5 shaped curveball. Breaking ball shows good depth and he fills up the zone well with his arsenal. At the plate, uses an upright and wide stance with a small leg kick trigger. Present pop to all fields with more power left to be unlocked. Hands work direct to the baseball, simple and efficient stroke with a middle to pull side approach. Great student in the classroom as well. Named to the National Underclass Main Event Top Prospect List.
