Luke Nagy is a 2019 C/1B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Cypress Woods High School. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a long, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Primary catcher, compact set up behind the plate, receives the ball out front well, gains short ground with footwork and can continue to incorporate additional lower half into release, gets on top of throws with a compact arm strength, on line to the base with arm strength that will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate with a slightly open stance in the box. Full swing path through the zone with a linear plane, does a nice job of getting extended out front. Occasionally mistimed with swing, shows carry off the barrel and can drive with authority and finds the barrel.
