Matthew Caballero is a 2018 C/ with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Tallahassee, FL who attends Maclay High School. Medium build and frame with good athleticism and room to continue to fill out physically. Posted a 7.90 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, posted a pop time of 1.97 with developing catch and throw actions and raw arm strength that should improve with age. At the plate, started with a high hand set and a leg kick timing mechanism. Extends his hips well and drives from his back leg to create power in his swing. Inconsistent swing path and feel for timing, would improve with rhythm and plane. Outstanding student.
