Joshua Martinez is a 2016 OF with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Caguas, PR who attends Caguas Military Academy. Slender young build, square shoulders and a high waist, very projectable physically. 6.94 runner, moves quickly to the ball in the outfield, full arm action throwing, loose arm with very good carry, can improve glove work at the ball. Left handed hitter, hits from a wide base, opens front side early, pull approach, has a loose swing with some bat speed, has the ability to pull and lift on his pitch, tends to get off balance on anything on the outside half. Would very much like to see on the mound, has the looseness, athleticism and arm strength to project big as a left handed pitcher. Very good student.
