Jake Specht is a 2015 SS/OF with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Lamar, CO who attends Lamar HS. Large, athletic frame with long limbs and present strength will some room to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 7.27 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, short arm action on throws across and moves well up the middle, arm works and will continue to develop arm strength. Quick release on throws from the outfield with accuracy from short arm action. Right-handed hitter, starts with a spread stance and a low hand set. Upper body swing, swings hard and shows pop to pull side gap, ball comes off the barrel well when squared. Short and compact swing path, patient approach in the box and looks to lift. Outstanding student.
