Dillon Lewis is a 2016 LHP/1B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Cape Coral, FL who attends Ida Baker HS. Medium, slender build with room to fill out. Pitches from a three-quarter arm slot and is extra long with arm action in the back. Reaches 71 mph with his fastball and mixes a 10-4 curveball for strikes. Sometimes shows 11-5 shape. Keeps hitters off balance. Projects to add velocity. Also swung the bat, works from the right side of the plate. Has a line drive swing path and carries his hands in close. Stays closed and likes to hit the ball through the middle. Has a short arm action at first base, arm strength is still developing. Hands work well. Good student.
