Harrison Francis is a 2017 RHP/SS with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Tallahassee, FL who attends Lawton Chiles HS. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength, long build and projects nicely moving forward with added physical strength. Primary righthanded pitcher, abbreviated delivery on mound and does a nice job of repeating regularly on all offerings. Fast arm action through the backside working to a high three-quarters arm slot. Shows effort at release but doesn't inhibit ability to throw strikes or maintain stuff. Topped out at 91 mph and held velocity well, mostly true in life with occasional run to the arm side. Generates nice plane and showed no problem moving the ball around the zone with intent. Curveball has true swing-and-miss potential at 79 mph, very late biting life with 12-6 shape from same release point, throws for strikes and serves as out pitch now. Showed a nice feel for changeup too, doubled up and maintains arm speed very well, late fading life to the arm side at 80 mph. Has the arsenal to make noise and projects well moving forward. Named to World Showcase Top Prospect List. Committed to Chipola College.
