Blaze Alexander is a 2018 SS with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Cape Coral, FL who attends Bishop Verot HS. Medium athletic build, has the beginnings of some present strength. Elite level arm strength at shortstop, has easy footwork and moves well from side to side, hands are clean and work well on the move, arm strength gets the attention but the rest of the defensive tools/skills are solid, too. Right handed hitter, has a quick and fluid swing, uses his hips well to generate torque, line drive swing plane and can drive the ball. Verbal commitment to South Carolina. Selected for the 2017 Perfect Game All-American Classic.
