Benjamin Rodriguez is a 2015 RHP/SS with a 6-0 168 lb. frame from Sioux City, IA who attends North HS. Rodriguez has a medium sized frame with a lean athletic build. He pitches from an overhand arm slot with a very long arm action. Rodriguez uses a high leg lift and has a drop and drive style delivery. He gets good cut action on his fastball and occasionally sinks it. Rodriguez has arm strength and there's more velocity in there with some adjustments to his delivery. Defensively, Rodriguez has a longer release with arm strength up to 84 MPH. At the plate, he starts with a wide stance and has a rotational swing. Rodriguez is using his hands better in his swing and showing improving hitting tools since the Spring League. Good student.
