Scott Siebenthall is a 2020 C/OF with a 6-0 173 lb. frame from Corpus Christi, TX who attends King High School. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to build, additional room to grow physically moving forward. Primary catcher, begins with a low and flexible set behind the plate during drills and game, receives the ball out front and shows a clean transfer with smoothness to actions, fuller arm stroke and gets on top of throws with present arm strength and carry, athleticism plays, can continue to refine and implement additional footwork into mechanics coming out of crouch. Compact and tight release from the outfield with some effort at release, arm plays and shows nice carry to intended base with accuracy. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow in the box. Does a nice job of getting the barrel through the zone and shows quickness to hands, got his hands extended well in live action. Can shorten approach in the box but handled the barrel well and gets on plane while remaining on time with swing. Very good student.
