Brandon Ivey is a 2015 LHP/OF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Concordia Lutheran HS. Medium well proportioned athletic build, plenty of room to get stronger. Balanced leg raise delivery, high 3/4's arm slot from a compact arm circle, leans upper body off at release to get arm through. Low 80's fastball, topped out at 84 mph, 4-seamer mostly straight, gets good late arm side sink on 2-seamer, showed the ability to spot his fastball consistently on the outside half to right handed hitters. Primary fastball, pitcher, still developing feel and command of curveball, did not observe a change up. Should throw harder with normal growth and strength development, mastering a second pitch will be key his future success and ceiling. Good student.
