Trey Toney is a 2016 OF/RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Port Neches, TX who attends Port Neches-Groves HS. Has a medium frame and a strong build with clear sign of present strength. Posted a 6.89 60 yard dash, moves well on the field. From the outfield, fields the ball out in front with solid momentum moving through the baseball. Long arm action on throws with good carry to bases. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a slightly open, wide stance. Hands extend deep on load, stay inside the baseball in swing. Takes aggressive swings at the plate with developing strength. On the mound, right-handed pitcher that throws from an over the top arm slot with arm side sink on his fastball. Curveball has 11/5 shape with depth. Currently projects more as a pitcher. Excellent student.
