Grant Hoppock is a 2015 RHP/3B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Overland Park, KS who attends Olathe East HS. Nice projectable pitcher's build, long and loose. Standard leg raise delivery, stays over the rubber well, medium length arm action, 3/4's arm slot, arm works well and is loose out front, will drop sidearm/crossfire at times with no lose in stuff. Fastball topped at 80 mph, steady fastball velocity, gets life from both arm slots. Gets between breaking balls with inconsistent release points, flashes good spin and bite at times, sidearm breaking ball tends to float in and sweep. Change up developed well late in outing, has potential. Can easily see developing into a mid-80's guy by the late spring, sidearm approach is interesting as well. Right handed hitter, long rotational swing, line drive swing plane, tends to get out front and under most pitches, flashes strength when squared. Outstanding student. Named to the Pitcher/Catcher Indoor Showcase Top Prospect Team.
