Tanner Wood is a 2018 C/1B, 3B with a 6-0 220 lb. frame from Ocoee, FL who attends West Orange HS. Strong athlete that is a great target at first base and behind the plate. At first base he showed good footwork to the ball, worked through the ball, threw with arm strength and accuracy to second and third. Behind the plate he receives well, stays back, gains ground to second base, quick transfer, quick arm, throws accurately to the bag. At the plate he a square stance with feet slightly wider than shoulder width, starts swing with toe tap stride, lands early. Good path worked up to the ball with strength, showed power potential to pull side with solid contact. Great student.
