Keagan Bagley is a 2018 SS/RHP with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Scottsdale Christian Academy. Compact frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 7.24 sixty yard dash. Primary shortstop with smooth, athletic footwork while ranging to and surrounding the baseball. Travels to the baseball from a low position with good range to each side. Funnels the baseball cleanly with good fluidity through transition. Gets rid of the baseball quickly from a three-quarters arm slot topping at 75 miles per hour across the infield. Throws produced on line carry to the bag with accuracy. Right handed hitter with a spread, slightly open stance and simple leg lift trigger. Generates torque at load with a slightly coil front side. Lower half launches to contact with rotational actions generating occasional shift. Extended, loose swing path to contact with a line drive plane through extension. Flashes occasional leverage when connecting out front off front hip. Primarily works the baseball between the outfield gaps, produced hard contact to each alley when on time and squared. Also pitched showing a simple side step to leg lift delivery. Stays tall on back side at balance point and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Swings front side slightly, but shows the ability to consistently keep hits in line with the plate when working to finish. Compact arm circle back at separation and releases from a compact three=quarters arm slot that produces good running action on a fastball between 70-73 miles per hour. Curveball has 11-to-5 shape with softer rotation and some depth when located down in the zone. Consistently filled the strike zone with both pitches and induced weak contact. Very good student as well.
