Pedro Pages is a 2016 C/1B with a 6-0 217 lb. frame from Doral, FL who attends Gulliver Schools. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and a strong, well proportioned frame with present strength throughout build. Primary catcher, shows polished and repeatable receiving actions, occasionally gets off line with footwork but shows quickness through feet, pops out of crouch well and gains ground, very strong arm, comes out of hand cleanly and with plenty of carry and accuracy. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high back elbow. Short and direct swing path to the ball, mostly upper body at contact but stays consistent and under control. Uses the middle of the field with comfort but shows carry to opposite field, natural lift to swing path with hard jump off the barrel when squared. Very good student. Signed with Florida Atlantic.
