Sam Atiyeh is a 2015 RHP/1B with a 6-2 230 lb. frame from Yuma, AZ who attends Yuma Catholic HS. Large and strong build, mature physically for his age. Well paced delivery, repeats it well, high 3/4's arm slot, around the plate with all his pitches. Mid 70's fastball, topped out at 78 mph early, have seen up to 81 mph in the past, mostly straight, tends to pitch up in zone with fastball. Big slow curveball with 11/5 shape. Throws strikes and makes hitters swing the bat, can work down in the zone more effectively. Good student.
