Reid Schaller is a 2016 RHP/OF with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Lebanon, IN who attends Lebanon HS. Large athletic build, has filled out well and has plenty of present strength especially in his lower half. Back turn/leg raise delivery with good balance and pace, compact arm action with a tight high 3/4's to over the top release, gets good downhill angle to his pitches. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90 mph, gets good arm side running action and works down in the zone consistently, showed ability to work glove side and backdoor his fastball with movement. Slider showed good late biting action, limited depth but lateness gets it off barrels effectively. Didn't see his change up but he has thrown it consistently in the past. Mature pitcher with a good approach. Good student, verbal commitment to Vanderbilt.
