Yomar Valentin is a 2015 SS/OF with a 5-7 155 lb. frame from Manati, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Short athletic build with some wiry strength. Elite level defensive actions, plays very quick and fast with outstanding range, very good footwork, short quick arm action and release, very soft and sure hands, plays defensive with flair and imagination and plus instincts, can make all the plays. Switch hitter, bit more bat speed and better swing path from the left side, quick hands and stays short to the ball from both sides, gets the barrel out early and makes contact, very aggressive hitter who will make early count contact. Fun to watch play defense.
