Javier Bojorquez is a 2017 RHP/IF with a 5-9 178 lb. frame from Douglas, AZ who attends CTD HS. Compact build with some present strength. Well paced delivery with a good hip turn, quick compact arm action, tight 3/4 arm action, has some deception to his delivery and repeats it well. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, looks like it gets on hitters quickly due to deception in delivery, good sinking action at times and can work both sides of the plate and elevate over barrels with intent. Has a good feel for his curveball and will flash tight spin and some depth at times. Filled up the strike zone with both pitches and showed a mature approach to pitching, very effective performance. Good student.
