Kyle Hurt is a 2017 RHP/1B with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Rancho Santa Fe, CA who attends Torrey Pines HS. Big and strong athletic build, has done a nice job working hard and toning up his body. Short stride out front in his delivery, will throw around his core at times, 3/4's arm slot, has some angle to his pitches, arm is loose and quick. Steady low 90's fastball, topped out at 93 mph, mostly straight with some arm side running action. Curveball has tight spin and very good depth at times when he's on top of it. Change up showed nice arm speed and lots of tumble at times. Has three quality pitches and the ability to use them and throw them for strikes. Verbal commitment to Southern California. Selected for the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
