Omy Gonzalez is a 2014 RHP with a 6-0 136 lb. frame from Bayamon, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Very slender young build, minimal present strength. Simple leg raise delivery, clean arm circle, good direction and balance, low effort 3/4's release. Fastball topped at 79 mph, gets nice run and sinking action, keeps fastball down in the zone well. Slider shows good biting action, lacks present power but commands it well and could throw it more often. Delivery and pitches are solid, just a matter of gaining more strength to improve velocity.
