Juan Carlos Morales Maymi is a 2015 RHP/2B with a 5-7 125 lb. frame from Toa Baja, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Smaller build, very young look, minimal present strength. Leg tuck delivery, gets lower half turned well, sound pitching mechanics and repeats well, 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped at 74 mph with good sink, threw to spots well especially to the glove side, proper curveball release and shape, worked quickly and threw strikes to spots and was very effective. 7.07 runner, soft hands defensively, young actions with developing arm strength. Right handed hitter, rotational line drive swing, looks to pull. Will improve with additional strength in all areas, plays hard and competed well against older competition. Good student.
