Zach Taylor is a 2014 C/3B with a 6-1 208 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Horizon HS. Strong thick build, loose and athletic for his size. Very good defensive tools, big arm strength, accurate on line throws, 2.00 in game, 1.89 in drills, receives the ball cleanly and easily, can also play corner outfield. Right handed hitter, upright stance, narrow base, aggressive swing, short enough to the ball, long and loose out front, good bat speed with strength at contact, ball comes off the barrel hard, gap power, tools to improve at the plate. Also pitched, quick compact arm action, mid 80's fastball. Has the tools and build you want to see in a young catching prospect.
