Jon Leighton is a 2014 C/3B with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Victoria, MN who attends Chanhassen. Leighton has a medium build with broad shoulders. Has lean build with room to fill out. Hits from a slightly open stance. Line drive swing plane with lift. Mid field to pull approach with good contact. Shows bat speed and power potential. Defensively, strong arm, needs to work on getting quicker on release. Works hard behind the plate and moves well blocking ball. Flashes good reactions at 3B as well during the game.
