Stephen Kolek is a 2015 RHP/OF with a 6-3 215 lb. frame from Shepherd, TX who attends Shepherd HS. Big strong athletic build, has filled out well over the last year. High 3/4's to over the top arm slot, stiff front leg on release and doesn't always get over it and downhill, fast arm coming through. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 91 mph early, good downhill angle when working down in the zone, mostly straight with occasional arm side run. Slurve type breaking ball, shows curveball depth out of the windup, doesn't get on top as well from the stretch for a shorter slider like break. Can continue to improve with delivery adjustments and consistency. Good student, verbal commitment to Texas A&M.
