Austin Wilhite is a 2016 SS/2B, RHP with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Buford, GA who attends Buford HS. Compact frame, slender well-proportioned build with plenty of quick-twitch athleticism. Ran a 6.63 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, light on feet and moves well to ball, quick transfer, shows good arm strength with loose arm stroke. Right handed hitter, high hands set, aggressive weight shift on to front side, line-drive swing plane geared to contact. Simple load with quick hands, stays short to the ball, flashes good feel for the barrel with solid present bat speed. Intriguing overall skillset and collection of tools. Good student, verbal commitment to Georgia Tech.
