John Resnik is a 2016 RHP/3B/OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Stuart, FL who attends South Fork HS. Medium athletic build, some strength with room for more. Long clean arm action, 3/4's arm slot, has good arm speed coming through, gets very good drive from his lower half, repeats his delivery and release point well on all pitches. Fastball topped at 83 mph, have seen him up to 85 mph this summer, gets good arm side running action on his fastball. Shows good command of a soft curveball with 11/5 shape and depth, gets nice sinking action on his change up. Has sound mechanics and an idea how to pitch with three present pitches, should continue to improve with additional strength. Right handed hitter, low hand start with a big shift into contact, upper cut swing plane, gets the ball into the air, flashes some bat speed. Showed good arm strength and accuracy from the outfield.
