Ian Jenkins is a 2017 OF/ with a 6-0 208 lb. frame from Lawrenceville, GA who attends Collins Hill. Large frame with outstanding physicality; has excellent levels of strength and athleticism throughout body. Hits from an upright, open stance with simple load and overall swing mechanics. Inside-out swing path with very good hand quickness, line drive swing plane with direct bat-to-ball skills. Has strength in swing, can drive the ball to all fields. Worked out defensively in the outfield, moves well to the ball with easy athleticism and footwork, fields cleanly and gets through the ball, quick release with excellent arm speed, threw a tremendous 92 MPH from the outfield with accuracy and plus carry on throws. Named to 2016 Sunshine Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student.
