Ethan Gillis is a 2015 LHP with a 6-6 240 lb. frame from Senioa, GA who attends Whitewater HS. Big strong build, especially in the hips and lower half. Big hip turn delivery, long extended arm action, mid 3/4's release point. Fastball topped out at 89 mph, nice running and fading action down in the zone. Sweeping curveball with good 2/8 depth and angle to the plate. Tends to slow arm on change up but gets nice fading action. Flashes the ability to mix three solid pitches all of which can improve with experience and adjustments. Good student, verbal commitment to Kennesaw State.
