Cody Barfield is a 2015 RHP/3B with a 5-10 135 lb. frame from Marianna, FL who attends Altha HS. Slender young build, minimal present strength. High leg raise delivery, long extended arm action, 3/4's arm slot, good tempo and repeats well. Fastball to 75 mph, works fastball down in the zone well, mostly straight. Big sweeping curveball, good depth, some developing feel for his change up, mixes his pitches well and throws strikes. Right handed hitter, loose swing with good extension, handles the barrel well, spray line drive contact, has good swing mechanics just lacks physical strength to hit. Good student.
