Gustavo Escobar Jr is a 2013 OF/RHP with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Yukon, OK who attends Yukon HS. Medium athletic build, good present strength. 6.80 runner, very good outfield arm strength, long fluid arm stroke, works through the ball well with a quick release, good footwork. Right handed hitter, open tall stance, high back elbow good hand strength, short simple swing, good bat speed, fluid swing, ball jumps hard, has gap power and consistently squares the ball up. Also pitched, fastball to 87 mph, pretty sound delivery, limited present feel for off speed but more velocity in his arm. Very good balance of tools and plays hard, performs. Excellent student. Committed to Seminole CC but has high D1 written all over him.
