2004 National Academic Showcase
Tim Hammond is a physically strong 2005 right hander from Woodbine, MD. He showed a polished fastball/curveball combination in Fort Myers and cruised through four innings of work. Hammond’s fastball was consistently 83-84 mph with good running life on the inside half of the plate to right handed hitters. His best pitch was his 69-70 mph curveball, which had a good, deep two-plane break to it. Hammond is a good polished pitcher with some arm strength for schools in the East to Northeast to keep an eye on. He shows good command and seems to really know what he's doing on the mound. Tim is an excellent student.
