Brent Diaz is a 2014 C/OF/1B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Gulliver Schools. Solid athletic build, good present strength. Right handed hitter, busy set up with big hand drop load, bent knee stance, rotational swing with uppercut swing plane, has strength and bat speed and ball comes off the barrel hard when squared, has lift in his swing and some power potential, getting swing started with hands in a higher position would help consistency. 7.02 runner, good lower half body life behind the plate, can improve footwork and release fundamentals, has some arm strength, good hands receiving. Very good student.
