Nick Affronti is a 2013 LHP/1B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Notre Dame Prep. Nice athletic build with good muscle definition. Long clean arm circle, tight 3/4's arm slot, low effort release, stays tall on his backside and directional to the plate, could extend better. Upper 70's fastball, touched 81 mph, mostly straight. Tends to slow arm on curveball. Right handed hitter, narrow upright stance, moves into contact, short line drive swing, some strength at contact, makings of some bat speed, stay inside the ball well, aggressive baserunner. More velocity in his arm. Good student.
