Mitchell Golden is a 2016 SS with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Marietta HS. Medium athletic build, very good present strength. Switch hitter, shows better present bat speed and barrel feel from the left side, straight stance with a good load and shift, ball comes off the barrel hard, has fast hands and swings hard. Hits from a wide base right handed, bit of a pre-load approach, bars out, rotational swing, still has some bat speed but less of a natural swing 7.05 runner, athletic actions in the infield, quick on his feet, fields the ball out front cleanly, nice arm strength with good carry, middle infield athleticism. Has always been a high level game performer. Good student, signed with Georgia Southern.
