Ryan Schiever is a 2005 catcher/infielder from Lockport, Illinois with a solid body that shows strength at 5 ft. 10 180 pounds. He hits with a small leg raise as a trigger, and has good balance throughout the swing. He showed good bat control and makes solid contact with a short compact swing. He has good opposite field line drive ability. Behind the plate, he has a very smooth quick arm, and he popped a 1.95. He moves well side to side with quick feet, and has good overall defensive skills. He ran a 7.37 in the 60. Ryan will be a good defensive catcher at the next level.
