Chase Nielsen is a 2012 LHP with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Salt Lake City, UT who attends Brighton HS. Slender lean build, plenty of room to add strength. Well balanced delivery, extended arm action, 3/4's release, repeats well. Works almost exclusively with fastball, tops at 77 mph, turns over FB at 72-73 with very good sink, hits corners and keeps the ball low, rare 66 mph with soft spin, throws strikes and forces contact, good defensive player off the mound. Command a plus, needs to develop a breaking ball.
